The Secret History of the CIA

The Secret History of the CIA by Joseph Trento

This book took me 11 days to read, but I finally finished it. The Secret History of the CIA quenched some of my thirst for information about the Cold War. However, it mostly was about the start of the CIA and the men behind it. It provided information about illegal operations that the CIA was performing. Like hiring KGB agents. It was definitely a very interesting book. The author went after most of the men involved in the CIA between the 40s and 80s to interview. Some refused, but most agreed to interviews. Even the wives of the men agreed to interview as well. It was a very informative and interesting book. Why did it take so long to read? Things got in the way. Life you know. Rating: ****
