The Battered Bastards of Bastogne

Title: The Battered Bastards of Bastogne by George E. Koskimaki

Category: Nonfiction, History

Review: This book was another great book concerning the 101st Airborne. This, though, dealt with the Battle of the Bulge. The author had a lot of comments from the soldiers. Over 500 soldiers happened to contribute, including the author himself, who happened to be included in the war. This book takes you from December 19, 1944 – January 17, 1945. With the prologue and epilogue, the book has 22 chapters and over 500 pages. Reading this book will help you understand from the soldiers’ eyes, what they were thinking while in combat with the Germans. It can make you laugh and feel sad. I really recommend reading this book because it is one of the best about the Battle of the Bulge that has been written. I also have read a book by the author before and he really writes great books.
