To Kill A Mockingbird

Title: To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Category: Fiction

Review: I had never read To Kill A Mockingbird before Wednesday, when my Mom and I went out to get Lee Harper’s new book. So I had planned to get it anyway, I got the book and I loved it from the moment I started it. The story is told from one point of view which is Scout’s aka Jean Louise’s. She takes you through three years (the summer before she starts 1st grade to the fall of 3rd grade). I would think that is three years. Anyway, the story is told in her view, but you don’t just see the story through her eyes, she tells the story through others as well. Some of the characters that are common are: Jem, Calpurnia, Atticus (of course), Miss Maudie, etc… There’s never a dull moment. I loved how the author took me from one point of childhood where they were obsessed with Boo Radley to the end where they weren’t. It made it a lot more interesting at the end. Definitely a book everyone needs to read.
