Title: Lord of the Flies by William Golding
Review: Lord of the Flies is a classic that I think should be read by everyone. This was my first time reading this book and from the first page I was instantly drawn into the book. I could not put it down until I knew how it ended. Basically the book is about a boy named Ralph who is selected as chief over several boys when they are stranded on an island. He is wanting to see things reasonably and keep a fire going on the island so that they can be rescued. There is a boy named Jack who along the way turns out to make most of the boys turn to savagery. So whereas Ralph is trying to keep some form of civilization on the island with rules, Jack is the opposite and is obsessed with hunting and killing and becoming savages. In the end they are rescued, but the damage is done. This is a great book. Read it!
