Dancing with Dragons
Title: Dancing with Dragons by D.J. Conway
Category: Nonfiction, Wicca, New Age, Magickal Creatures
Review: I got this book a long time ago and I just got around to reading it. There are some people (Wiccans, Pagans, or Witches) who do not approve of this book for some reason. They call it fiction. I hardly agree with them. This book was a well-written book as are all her books. She is very serious when she speaks of working with dragons. Dragons, like fairies and other astral creatures, should be respected when worked with. In this book she gives an overview of the mythology of dragons, basic tools, a basic ritual outline, information about the different types of dragons, and much more. This book is for those who are not beginners in Wicca or Paganism. You have to be a serious practitioner to practice with the dragons, just like you have to be when you start the path. I like that she reinforces this in the book. She doesn’t just throw in spells and leave you without instructions. It is a very good beginner’s guide to working with these wonderful creatures. However, be serious when you read this book. This is not for the faint of heart. If you want to cultivate a relationship with these creatures, this is definitely the book for you.
